Chili Recipe

Nutrition Facts (per 1 cup):  255 calories, 4.9g Fats, 31.3g Carbs, 23.9g Protein

Ingredients (makes 8 servings):

  • 1 lb lean ground beef (browned)
  • 1 (15 oz ) can of dark red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 (15 oz ) can of chili beans
  • 1 (15 oz ) can of black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 (14.5 oz ) can of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups of chicken broth

 

Ingredients for homemade chili seasoning:

  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ⅛ tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • ⅛ tsp garlic salt

 

Instructions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large pot
  • Stir together
  • Heat on medium high until chili starts to simmer

Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes (or longer)
